Welcome to our Island Resort

The City of North Wildwood has reason to boast -- the resort's wide white sandy free beach was rated "New Jersey's best sports beach" by Travel Holiday Magazine .In 1994, the beach once again became the focus of attention as the state's first beach tram service was introduced . Beach goers can glide along the sand by tram to and from the shoreline to the street. The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and marine police station located in the City provide visitors with an historical retrospective of the resort. Both sites are destinations on the New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail . Special events celebrating the Irish heritage, string band entertainment and Captain Kidd history, holiday parades and celebrations are part of the resort's exciting ideas planned for every member of the family. Band Concerts are presented in the resort including the beach, boardwalk, and at a gazebo stage located on the beach. Nightlife in North Wildwood is especially diverse. If you want to sing-a-long with an Irish band... enjoy oldies at the dockside... rock and roll in a nightclub...the choices are endless at the northern end of the island. Family fun has been shared for two, three and more generations as eager young moms and dads introduce their children to the joys of fresh salt air, clean, large, guarded beaches, the sound of waves crashing on the surf and the sight of sea gulls in the skies. Laughter fills the air as kids scramble to make sand castles, collect sea shells, experience the water and ride the waves. If you're looking for family fun and the widest, safest, cleanest beaches you've ever seen...then there's no other comparable seashore resort destination
